ATTENTION MHS PARENTS:
We are concerned with the personal, social, and educational development of your child. If you have questions about obtaining counseling for your child at the high school, or need to change your child's schedule, please contact Dr. Holly Johnson (254.840.2853).

ATTENTION FRESHMAN PARENTS:
If you have not yet scheduled your parent meeting with Dr. Johnson to review TAKS scores, grades, adjustment to high school, and develop a preliminary schedule for next year, PLEASE DO SO this fall. This is a very important meeting that involves much more than registering for next school year.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS:
The PSAT and PLAN tests will be administered to the sophomore and junior classes this fall. As soon as scores arrive, we will be requesting that you schedule a meeting with your child and Dr. Johnson to review scores, plan for SAT and/or ACT, review TAKS testing and grades, and develop your child's schedule for next year. Also, we will start important planning for college and financial aid.

ATTENTION PARENTS OF SENIORS:
Please contact the high school as soon as possible to schedule a meeting with Dr. Johnson. A review of your child's previous and current coursework is needed to ensure that graduation will occur as expected. Also, we will be making plans for graduation, college, financial aid, etc. Your attendance in the meeting is critical. Also, remember to get your taxes done soon this year! The federal application for student aid needs to be completed as soon as possible after January 1, 2008. If you've not made decisions about colleges, Dr. Johnson can help you in that process. Don't forget that universities will require the ACT or SAT for admission.
