2022-23 Pre-K & Kindergarten Roundup
PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The official registration for Pre-K and Kindergarten will be held on April 12th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Primary Cafeteria. Please enter through the back doors. This is the first registration you need to complete. DO NOT complete online registration because it will not be ready and you will have to redo it. This registration must take place first before you can register online. We will notify you when online registration is available via email.
Who is eligible? Any student who is four years old on or before September 1, 2022 is eligible to apply for Pre-K and any student who is five years old on or before September 1, 2022 is eligible for Kindergarten.
There are important papers you must bring in order to complete your registration. We will not accept incomplete packets so be sure to bring everything you need for your child:
• completed immunization record
• social security card* certified copy of child's birth certificate (not a hospital copy)
• electric or water bill in your name (if not, you will need a letter from your landlord)
• driver's license of both parents/guardians
• Pre-K Only: 4 weeks of pay stubs for every working member of the household (must be most recent paystubs)
You MUST be a resident of McGregor ISD to attend Pre-K. We do not accept transfers for Pre-K. For Pre-K, you must qualify for "full-day" based upon income. We don't receive that information until closer to August so we will take your information and notify you once we can verify if you qualify or not. If you do NOT qualify, you may be eligible for "half-day" Pre-K, but it is only available until all spots are full (first come-first serve) so register early.
We will accept transfers for Kindergarten and First grade if we have the space available. Transfers must go through an interview process and those will not be processed until the end of summer right before school starts once we know our class sizes.
