School Safety

Raptor System

McGregor ISD has installed RAPTOR Visitor Management kiosks on all campuses. RAPTOR Technologies will allow the district to:

  • Screen every visitor against sex offender and custom databases, including those with custody orders and banned visitor status
  • Sync with our student information system (SIS) to have accurate student and guardian data and ensure students are only released to approved guardians
  • Instantly screen anyone attempting to sign out a student against the sex offender registry in all 50 states and any locally-customized databases, including custody databases
  • Immediately alert administrative, security, and other appropriate personnel via text and/or email when a visitor is identified as a risk
  • Generate district- or school-level detailed reports in real time for use in the event of an incident that requires students to be released to parents at a predetermined reunification point

When you visit your child's campus, you will be required to scan your ID.  Acceptable forms of identification include:

  • State Issued Driver License
  • Military ID
  • Mexican Consulate Card
  • Passport ID Card
If you do not possess an accepted ID card, you will be required to manually enter the required information. After scanning your ID and clearing the background check, you will be issued a printed "badge" with your photo to wear while you are on campus. You will need to "scan out" when you leave the building.

MISD uses STOPit to empower and protect students.  STOPit provides students an anonymous, comfortable way to share information with school officials so they can provide or get help.  MISD believes the adoption of STOPit is an important step in the continued effort to provide a positive school climate and a safe learning environment for students.

How to Report a Concern
With STOPit, users can submit anonymous reports containing text, photos, or video.  Administrators are then able to review, investigate, and address the reported incidents.  There are two ways to access STOPit to submit an anonymous report.

• STOPit App
Parents and students can use the STOPit app to submit a report by following these steps:
1) download the app from the App Store or Google Play and use the district access code provided by their campus administrators
2) open the STOPit app and select your school
3) create your report

• Web-based Reporting
This reporting method is available for parents and students who prefer not to use the app:
1) visit the district's SAFETY web page
2) click the purple STOPit SOLUTIONS image at the top of the page
3) select your school and create your report

Please keep in mind, STOPit is not an emergency response service.  If you believe your situation requires immediate police, fire, or paramedic response, please call 9-1-1.  STOPit does not provide counseling or clinical advice.  If you feel you need this type of attention, please seek the assistance of a qualified clinical or medical professional.
