SchoolMed Health Services
McGregor ISD has partnered with SchoolMed (Goodside Health) to bring on-demand telehealth services to our schools. Through our partnership, your child can be assessed, tested, diagnosed, and treated for common illnesses including strep, flu, and COVID.
SchoolMed works just like a clinic visit. Students can be online with a SchoolMed Health provider within a few minutes! Parents & Guardians can join every visit, too. When requested, SchoolMed sends parents a secure link to join the visit. When a prescription is needed, the provider will call it into your local pharmacy. SchoolMed also creates school excuse notes for students. If you need to leave work to pick up your student, parents get also get an excuse note for work. The medical providers can treat all students regardless of residency or insurance status with most visits delivered at little to no cost to families. Translation services are also available.
Students must be registered to take part in the program. Sign-up online anytime at the SchoolMed website. Select your preferred language, click “Get Started”, and be sure to answer every question.
