MHS Art Students earn honors at VASE contest

MHS art students delivered an outstanding performance at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) held on March 7th at Harker Heights High School. There were 30 MHS art students who competed and submitted 36 art pieces. Out of the 1,163 total entries, our students earned 32 regional medals! Congratulations to Llareli Martinez, Carolina Waters, and Samantha Velin who earned area honors and will advance to the state competition held in San Marcos. VASE recognizes excellence in visual arts through a rigorous process that includes artwork evaluation, written analysis, and juror interviews. We are so proud of our students!
