The HOT Cooperative for Exceptional Children welcomes new director

The Heart of Texas Cooperative for Exceptional Children has announced Mrs. Alison Teal, M.Ed., LDT, CALT, as its new Director of Special Education.
Mrs. Teal brings over 20 years of experience in education with expertise in special education services, assessment, and literacy intervention. She currently serves as an Administrator in Residence with Waco ISD, supporting campus leadership, instructional systems, and student services. Mrs. Teal is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist, a Certified Academic Language Therapist, and an Educational Diagnostician. She holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in special education from Midwestern State University, and will complete another master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor this spring.
Mrs. Teal and her husband live in Troy and have three sons. She is committed to serving local schools, students, and families. A "Meet and Greet" event is coming soon!
