CLASSES BEGIN AT 10:00 am ON THURSDAY, FEB 2nd.
McGregor ISD Administrators and Transportation personnel have been "on the road" since 4:00 a.m. All of the roads we traveled were wet but passable. Temperatures have already reached the 32° mark and are continuing to rise.
Today, we will observe a late/delayed start. All buses will run two hours late. All classes will begin at 10:00 a.m.
While we encountered no issues during our trip around the district, we urge you to use caution.
Thank you all for your patience as we have worked to reopen our schools in a safe and orderly manner.
Stay safe. Stay warm.

CAMPUSES AND ACTIVITIES CANCELED FOR TUESDAY, JANUARY 31st.
As you know, the extended weather forecast calls for freezing rain and sleet beginning after midnight tonight (01/30). Based on the forecast, and the predicted accumulation of 1/4"-1/2" of ice, all MISD classes will be canceled on Tuesday, January 31. All scheduled after-school activities will be canceled as well. Any decisions regarding additional closures or delays for the remainder of the week will be made on a day-by-day basis. If roads are iced over and freezing temperatures are expected through the night, we will notify you via email by 9:00 p.m. If we are unable to make a decision due to uncertain conditions the night before, we will evaluate the situation each morning and make an announcement by 6:00 a.m. All announcements regarding weather-related closures will be posted on the district website and the district's Twitter (@McGregorISD), Facebook (@mcgregorschools), and Instagram (@McGregorISD) pages. We will also notify local media outlets of any decisions to delay or cancel classes. Media outlets to be notified include KWTX 10, KCEN 6, KXXV 25, and KWKT 44.
